POULET & FILS,  A FOUR GENERATION
FAMILY STORY...

"When I took over the family estate in 2004, I obviously inherited my ancestors’ land : this clay-limestone soil which was worked by so many generations and which first fed my ancestors and then provided them a living by the villages of Pontaix, Montlaur-en-Diois and Vercheny. This stony land became a vineyard thanks to the relentless labour of my grandfathers and my father Alain.

My father, who became a winegrower when he was 16, passed me on the vines of Muscat blanc à petits grains and Clairette that he had planted and worked for 50 years. I contributed with the integration of the iconic grapes of Châtillon-en-Diois (Gamay, Chardonnay, Aligoté) increasing the overall estate surface up to 23 hectares.

Alain also taught me his wine culture, and his passion for good work with the will to always do well, to do better. Through his advice and experience, I myself became a winemaker.

With my team of five people, I am willing to improve by …

Always producing  more and more qualitative wines thanks to a tedious work respectful of our terroirs and a thorough selection of grapes and plots.

As a proud Independant Winemaker, by intending  to pass on my children a sustainable estate. I have embraced more sustainable working methods which allowed our winery  to become in 2012 the first in Drôme to be certified « Haute Valeur Environnementale » (High Environmental Value). It acknowledges our efforts to reduce inputs and to protect biodiversity.

Always listening to our guests, I like sharing with them. That’s why Poulet & Fils have always been taking part in many Vignerons Indépendants winefairs.

Exporting our sparkling wines for more than a decade and to more than sixteen countries in Europe, North America and Asia.

I hope you’ll have as much pleasure drinking my wines as I have working my my land and vinify my grapes. Do not hesitate to share our Clairette de Die, Crémant de Die and Châtillon-en-Diois with your friends or family, you’ll appreciate them even more !"
